Please read the following information before you make a reservation.

About Reservations

  • When you make a reservation, please make sure to read through the Tour Conditions.
  • Guntû requires passengers to be at least 15 years of age at the time of departure. Passengers under the age of 18 must board together with a guardian.

About guntû and Cruises

  • All rooms are equipped with a bathtub, bathroom, and Hollywood twin beds. The capacity is 2 persons for each room.
  • Please note that routes and travel times may change depending on the weather, sea conditions, porting time, and management of ports.
  • Please note that seasonal events such as fireworks and festivals may be canceled or postponed due to unexpected reasons such as weather.
  • Rates include meals and drinks on board, activities and car service from/to Hiroshima Airport or Fukuyama Station. Except for rare bottles of wine and other expensive menu items, drinks on board are also included.
  • Activities may be changed depending on weather and sea conditions. Guntû crews will tell you details when you get onboard.
  • Please note that there are no cabins compatible with wheelchairs. If you use a wheelchair, please inform us when you make a reservation.
  • Please note that the use of electric-powered wheelchairs and electric carts on board is prohibited.
  • If you will bring any medical equipment, please inform us when you make a reservation.
  • Between July and September, off-ship activities may be cancelled in the event of extreme heat.

About Cancellation and Change

  • If you shorten the reserved course after the point when a cancellation fee is incurred, or if you change to a room type for which the tour fee will be reduced, the prescribed cancellation charge will be applied to the difference. Please check the Tour Conditions for the cancellation policy.
  • Change of passengers: It is possible to change the passenger name for up to one person per room after the point when the cancellation fee described in the Tour Conditions will be incurred, only when you request and we agree to the change. In that case, we will charge a commission fee of JPY 10,000. In addition, if there are other arrangements such as optional tours, we will charge the actual expenses incurred due to the change of passenger.

About Smoking

  • In order to prevent fires on board, smoking is prohibited throughout the ship, including on cabin terraces. The use of candles, incense, or any other flammable items is also strictly prohibited.
  • Passengers who wish to smoke cigarettes, heated tobacco, or electronic cigarettes are kindly requested to use the designated outdoor smoking area on Deck 3.

About Photography

  • Photography and video recording of guntû tours, including in the Setouchi Lounge, on board, and during off-ship activities is limited to personal, non-commercial use. In order to protect the portrait rights, privacy, and comfort of other passengers and our employees, please be considerate of other passengers and ensure that they and our employees are not shown in photographs.
  • We strictly prohibit filming or photography for commercial purposes without prior permission from the Company.
  • If the above behavior is observed, the crew may ask you to refrain from filming, or to delete the data and disembark from the ship. In addition, the company will demand removal of posts for commercial purposes that contain unauthorized photos or video.


  • The photos used in the brochures and other documents are images for illustration purposes and are not a guarantee that guests will visit the places shown.
  • There is a possibility that a member of the media may board the ship for coverage for television, magazines, or other outlets without notice.
  • Guntû kindly requests that passengers do not display tattoos or other body art (including paint and stickers) while onboard.
    In public areas (all parts of the ship excluding private cabins), we ask that passengers’ clothing fully covers all body art. Passengers with body art are also asked to refrain from using the communal baths and saunas inside the spa area.
  • Internet access is available on board. However, please note that Wi-Fi connection speeds may be slower than in land-based environments. Depending on the sea area and conditions, the connection may be unstable or interrupted.
  • Beginning with the departure scheduled for June 4, 2024, only select routes will feature Japanese sweets made in front of guests. Please inquire to the guntû desk if you have any questions.
  • Please refrain from wearing strong perfume during meals.

From your reservation to departure

You can make a reservation by email or by telephone.
*Please note that guntû requires passengers to be at least 15 years of age at the time of departure.

Reservation Procedure

Payments can be made by credit card (lump-sum payment) or bank transfer. A payment bill will be sent by e-mail within 3 business days after receiving the reservation. Please make the payment by the due date.

For the final confirmation before the boarding date

We will send an email the final Itinerary that shows the meeting place and time, a guidebook by two weeks before your boarding date. We will email you by 7 days prior to your boarding date to confirm your transfer from JR Fukuyama Station or Hiroshima Airport, boarding time etc.. Please let us know if you have any questions or requests for such as spa reservations.

The departure day

Please come to Bella Vista Marina. Please note that we offer car services from Hiroshima Airport or JR Fukuyama Station. As a rule, each piece of luggage must have linear dimensions measuring no more than 2 meters (sum of length, width and height), and must weigh no more than 30 kg.


  • Is the tax included in the rate?
    Yes, it is included.
  • Are there cabins for three or more people?
    Each cabin has a capacity of two persons, and there are no connecting cabins. If you make reservations for a group of three people, please reserve two or three cabins.
  • Can wheelchairs be used onboard? Are there barrier-free cabins?
    Wheelchairs cannot be brought aboard. Because there are many steps on the ship, we are unable to accept reservations for customers who cannot walk independently. In addition, there are no barrier-free cabins.
  • I want to book a cabin for my parents on guntû. Is it possible to make a reservation for a third party?
    Yes. Please contact us directly.

  • Is it necessary to submit copies of passports?
    We ask that foreign guests submit copies of their passports when reservations are made.
  • In the event that a cruise is suspended due to typhoon, natural disaster or other events, how will the tour fee be refunded?
    In case of cruise suspension, we will inform the person who made the reservation by the day before departure. We will refund the full tour fee.
