Privacy Policy
TSUNEISHI LAND & SEA INC. (hereinafter “we”/“our”/“us”) recognizes the importance of personal information that can identify individual customers (hereinafter “personal information”), and works diligently to protect privacy. We also continually review and improve this privacy policy.
1. Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines
We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and related laws, regulations, and guidelines in the handling of personal information.
2. Collection of Personal Information
When collecting personal information, we will clearly state the purpose of its use and collect it through lawful and fair means within the scope necessary to achieve that purpose.
3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
Personal information entrusted to us by the Customer when making a reservation will be used in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws, and only in the following cases, or may be provided to third parties with your consent:
- 1.For procedures necessary to provide services on board guntû and off-ship.
- 2.For communication with the Customer.
- 3.For various arrangements such as sending materials and products, and responding to inquiries.
- 4.For sending information on events, new products, new services, etc.
- 5.For sales activities via mail, telephone, email or in person; after-sales service; and marketing activities (such as survey requests).
- 6.For marketing analysis to produce better products and services.
- 7.For shipping products that customers purchased from us, including at the onboard shop.
- 8.For purposes separately announced or clearly specified to the Customer.
- 9.In other cases that we deem it necessary to contact the Customer.
- 10.For the exercise of rights or fulfillment of obligations under laws and regulations.
In the event that we use personal information of the Customer for business purposes other than those listed above, we will notify the Customer of the purpose in advance. If we change the purpose of use, the revised purpose will be communicated or publicly announced.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not provide personal information to third parties except under the following conditions:
- 1.When prior consent has been obtained from the individual.
- 2.When required by law.
- 3. When necessary to protect a personʼs life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individualʼs consent.
- 4.When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person in question.
- 5.When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a party entrusted by such an agency, in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and in which obtaining the individualʼs consent may interfere with the execution of those affairs.
- 6.When disclosed or provided to subcontractors within the scope necessary for providing services to the Customer.
- 7.When provided to businesses necessary for providing services or obtaining goods requested by the Customer, within the scope necessary.
5. Joint Use of Personal Information
We may jointly use personal information with group companies in the following ways:
- 1.Categories of personal data subject to joint use.
・Name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, workplace, gender, transaction details, etc. - 2.Extent of joint users
Our group companies, including TSUNEISHI GROUP CORPORATION (collectively, “our Group”). - 3.Purpose of use by joint users
・To provide products and services offered by us or our Group.
・To send direct mail, product/service information, and conduct surveys.
・To notify the relevant company when the individual concerned has an inquiry or applies to use the products and services offered by us or our Group.
・To manage information of Customers within the Company or our Group.

6. Measures for Secure Management
We will implement the following measures to securely manage personal information in our possession.
- 1.Establishment of a basic policy
We have established a basic policy covering compliance with laws and guidelines, and a contact point for questions and complaints. - 2.Setting of rules for handling personal information
We have set rules for handling methods, persons responsible, persons in charge, and their duties for handling personal information at each stage of acquisition, use, saving, provision, deletion, and disposal. - 3.Organizational measures
We undertake regular self-assessments of personal information handling, as well audits performed by other departments. - 4.Individual measures
Employees receive regular training on precautions for handling personal information. - 5.Physical measures
Measures are taken to prevent the theft and loss of equipment, electronic media, and documents with personal information. Measures are taken to ensure personal information is not easily identifiable when being moved within or transported from the premises. - 6.Technical measures
Access is controlled; limitations are set for the persons in charge and the range of the handled personal information.
7. Retention Period of Personal Information
When the legally mandated retention period has passed, or when the personal information is no longer needed to fulfill the purposes described in Section 3, we will promptly delete such information.
8. Management of Contractors Handling Personal Information
We may provide the Customerʼs personal information to contractors to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, we will appropriately supervise use to ensure confidentiality. When outsourcing the processing of personal information, we will contractually obligate contractors not to leak or re-share such information, and will implement appropriate management.
9. Inquiries Regarding Disclosure, Deletion or Correction of Personal Information
Customers wishing to correct, suspend use of, lodge complaints about, object to, delete, or withdraw consent for their personal information held by the Company should contact our inquiry desk for guidance on the required procedures. However, requests may not be accommodated if they would significantly impede the proper conduct of our business. All other necessary measures will be taken promptly in accordance with laws and internal regulations. If we are unable to fulfill part or all of a request, we will explain the reason.
If the Customer wishes to request disclosure of the personal information in our possession, please send the documents listed under A below to the inquiry contact listed under [10]. Requests will only be accepted by mail. After confirming your identity, we will respond promptly within a reasonable scope. However, disclosure may be withheld in full or in part in the following cases:
- 1.When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights of the Customer or a third party.
- 2.When it would significantly impede the proper conduct of our business.
- 3.When it would violate other laws or regulations.

- 3.Return postage for reply via registered mail with delivery confirmation
In cases of request by a representative instead of the Customer
- 1.Document specifying the purpose of the request
- 2.For a legal representative: documents proving legal representative status
- 3.For a voluntary representative: a power of attorney (a personal seal certificate may be attached to verify the seal impression)
- 4.Copy of valid driver's license, passport, or documents confirming the identity of the Customer
- 5.Copy of valid driver's license, passport, or documents confirming the identity of the representative
- 6.Copy of relevant certificate if the agent is a lawyer or tax accountant
- 7.Return postage for reply via registered mail with delivery confirmation
