Thank you for your ongoing support of guntû.

We would first like to express our deepest sympathy for those who have passed away from the COVID-19 coronavirus, and extend our sincere condolences to their families.

Our company’s utmost priority is the safety of our valued guests, local people who live on the islands that guntû visits, and all our employees including the guntû crew. For that reason, we have suspended operations since March 1. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused to guests who had planned to travel with us during this period.

During this period of suspended operations, we are reviewing our procedures to ensure that we can take necessary measures to prevent infection, while still providing a high-quality journey aboard guntû after travel resumes so that guests can enjoy their trip with peace of mind. Once these preparations are complete, we will conduct a trial cruise and a safety check. Passengers may be unaccustomed to or inconvenienced by new procedures as we welcome you aboard the ship in a different style than before, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

As we previously announced, we will resume operation from July 5. With the health and safety of our guests, local communities, and crew members as our top priority, we will do our best to once again offer visitors a delightful experience of “Setouchi” and “guntû”.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of our four-month suspension of operations.
